Spanish court maker Padel Alba has put €750,000 into what it says is the first padel manufacturing plant with a full club built into it. The Alicante company, one of Europe’s leading court suppliers, moves into the larger site in mid-November, where it plans to triple output from about 10 courts a week today.
The new plant adds two welding robots on an automated production line, along with four built-in cranes.
The four-court club on site doubles as the company’s showroom, so buyers can play on the product before they order. Two courts are full-panoramic with halo-style perimeter lighting, and two are panoramic with post lighting. Acoustic curtains line every wall to keep noise down.
Padel’s rapid growth in the U.S. is a big part of why the extra capacity matters. The sport is still young there, but new clubs and courts are opening in more states each year, and developers, hotels, and racquet clubs are adding padel to their plans. Suppliers have struggled to keep up with that demand, and lead times have become a deciding factor for operators who want to open quickly. Producing more courts per week lets Padel Alba take on larger orders and deliver them faster as the market expands.
