MAPEI involved in the construction of the largest multi-sports complex in the Midwest
MAPEI, the world leading producer of adhesives, sealants, and, chemical products for the construction industry was involved in the construction of the Rantoul Family Sports Complex in the village of Rantoul. The new multi-sports facility that hosts eight ballfields, one softball field, two Little League/challenger fields, eight soccer/multipurpose fields a splash pad, and a playground is the largest multi-sports complex in the Midwest.
The sports complex was built as an investment in the sports tourism sector as part of a larger construction project to boost the local restaurant, retail, and hospitality services.
The construction of the 1,552,267 square foot sports park was funded via several sources using a bond measure, private contributions, donations, sponsorships, and grants.
