Minden’s Recreation Complex is poised for significant enhancements this year, with improvements to the turf field, lighting and playground areas set to begin following approval from city officials.
The upgrades will include new turf and lighting systems designed to improve safety and extend usable hours for athletes, along with refreshed play areas for youth and families. City leaders say the work responds to community demand for better recreation amenities.
The City of Minden selected GeoSurfaces and GeoSport Lighting (TenCate) to supply and install the new playing surface and lighting infrastructure, marking a major role for the firm in enhancing the facility’s usability.
Officials noted that the enhancements are expected to benefit both local sports programs and wider community use, offering improved conditions for evening events and weekend activities.
Work is anticipated to begin later this spring, with completion targeted ahead of peak recreational seasons.
