Sprinturf Becomes Title Partner of 65-Acre Delaware Sports Complex in Multi-Year BPG|SPORTS Deal

Sprinturf, a vertically integrated U.S. manufacturer of synthetic turf systems, has signed a multi-year agreement with BPG|SPORTS that gives the company exclusive title naming rights to a 65-acre sports complex in New Castle, Delaware, now operating as Sprinturf Performance Park. Under the same agreement, Sprinturf becomes the official turf partner for facilities across the BPG|SPORTS portfolio.

More Playable Hours for Local Programs

For Sprinturf, the deal supports a broader push to widen access to recreation nationwide. The company frames the value of each field it installs in terms of playable hours: more usable time on the calendar means more teams, longer seasons, and room for the programs that tend to lose their slots when weather pulls grass fields out of rotation.

“When communities have dependable fields that can meet the demand of everyone who wants to play, that’s when confidence grows,” said Donna Kent, Vice President of Marketing at Sprinturf. “Our support for this park matters because every person who visits will see what is possible when a community invests in a high-quality synthetic turf facility. That is how the vision spreads: more places where underdogs rise and communities celebrate the heart of the team.”

Inside Sprinturf Performance Park

The venue, previously called Kirkwood Sports Complex, is county-owned and attracts over 1.5 million visitors annually. It hosts 15 large-scale tournaments each year on top of the regular schedule of youth recreation programs, adult leagues, travel clubs, and school teams. A $10 million capital improvement program is currently underway at the site, covering the conversion of grass fields to synthetic turf and a renovation of the indoor turf arena.

About the BPG|SPORTS Portfolio

BPG|SPORTS is the full-service sports management arm of Buccini Pollin Group. It owns, operates, and manages athletic venues across the Mid-Atlantic, including Chase Fieldhouse in Wilmington, Delaware, home of the NBA G League Delaware Blue Coats, and Sports At The Beach, a 16-field baseball complex in Georgetown, Delaware. Collectively, its facilities host more than 10,000 events and welcome over 4 million visitors a year, with an estimated annual economic impact above $300 million.

“We hold our facilities to the highest performance standards, and Sprinturf has exceeded our expectations every time we have worked with them,” said Stephen Cavalier, Senior Vice President and General Manager at BPG|SPORTS. “By manufacturing everything in the United States, they control their product from start to finish and we benefit from knowing exactly what we are putting on our fields. Naming Sprinturf the official turf partner across our portfolio was the natural next step in ensuring long-term quality.”
